Turkey’s agriculture sector, home to the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, reflects the richness of ancient Mesopotamia today. With its favorable geographical conditions and climate, vast agricultural lands, and abundant water resources, Turkey is recognized as one of the leading countries in the world in agriculture and food production.
Turkey offers significant investment opportunities in various sub-sectors of the agricultural industry, such as greenhouse production, animal and plant-based proteins, seeds, walnuts and almonds, baby food, and aquaculture.

Key Insurance Solutions for the Sector
In order to cover the risks threatening the agriculture sector in our country, an insurance mechanism was introduced with the enactment of the “Agricultural Insurance Law” No. 5363 on June 14, 2005.
According to this law, an Insurance Pool has been established to standardize insurance contracts related to the risks covered by the law, create an appropriate environment for the optimal transfer of risk, ensure the payment of compensation from a single center in the event of damage, and promote and expand agricultural insurance. All tasks and operations related to this Pool are managed by Agricultural Insurance Pool Management Inc., in which the participating insurance companies hold equal shares.
NART Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage plays an active role in ensuring the effective and efficient management of the entire process for all necessary insurance products.
