Its Mandatory Earthquake Insurance covers material damages directly caused by earthquake and resulting fire, explosion, tsunami and landslide in cash within the limits specified in your policy.

Even if your building is completely or partially damaged, it is covered.

  • Common walls separating the independent sections
  • Garden walls
  • Retaining walls
  • Ceilings and floors
  • Stairs
  • Elevators
  • Shelves
  • Corridors
  • Roofs
  • Chimneys
  • Complementary parts of the building similar to those above

Which Buildings are covered by TCIP?

Mandatory Earthquake Insurance covers the residences within the borders of the municipality.

In accordance with the Catastrophe Insurance Law No. 6305, the buildings defined below are within the scope of TCIP:

  • Buildings constructed as residences on immovables registered in the title deed and subject to private ownership
  • Independent sections within the scope of the Condominium Law No. 634
  • Independent sections located in these buildings and used for commercial, office and similar purposes
  • Houses built by the state or built with a loan given due to natural disasters
  • The buildings with a construction servitude, buildings that have not yet been classified in the title deed and have land, etc. qualified in the land registry, cooperative houses that have not yet been assigned the title deed, residences that do not have an independent title yet and were built before 2000, which comply with the above conditions, can be insured based on the statement of the insurer and with the information pertaining to the land title.
