İlhami Koç was born in 1963 in Malatya. He pursued his education at Ankara University’s Faculty of Political Science. After graduating, he began his career in 1986 as a trainee assistant inspector at the Audit Board of Türkiye İş Bankası A.Ş.

In 1994, Koç was appointed as Assistant Manager in the Securities Department of İş Bank. In 1997, he became the Unit Manager responsible for Capital Markets and Portfolio Management at İş Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş. His career progressed rapidly, and in 1999, he was promoted to Deputy General Manager at İş Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş., followed by his appointment as General Manager at İş Girişim Sermayesi Yatırım Ortaklığı A.Ş. in 2001. In 2002, he returned to İş Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş. as General Manager.

In 2013, İlhami Koç was appointed as Deputy General Manager of Türkiye İş Bankası A.Ş. He then served as General Manager of Anadolu Sigorta from 2016 to 2019. During this period, he also held significant positions, such as Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Turkish Capital Markets Association. On October 1, 2019, he joined EY Turkey as a Partner in Strategy and Corporate Finance.

Throughout his career, İlhami Koç has gained extensive experience and held key positions, establishing a strong presence in the finance and insurance sectors. He continues to work in strategy and corporate finance at EY Turkey.
