MANDATORY COMPLICATION INSURANCE

The legal responsibility for occupational accidents that may occur in the workplace is on the employer. Employer Liability Insurance covers the compensations that can be claimed from the employer by the workers or their beneficiaries, who are bound to the employer by a service contract and subject to the Social Insurance Law, and the compensation claims above and beyond the benefits provided by the Social Insurance Institution.

Mandatory Complication Insurance provides coverage against the risk of complications that may arise following surgical operations performed on foreign insured individuals receiving treatment in Türkiye. The policy is issued solely for foreign nationals and is valid within the borders of the Republic of Türkiye (excluding the T.R.N.C.).

Under the policy, complication-related coverages are valid for a period of 180 days starting from the policy inception date; cases requiring revision surgery or repetition of the operation are covered. However, early complications that occur within the first 10 days following the insured’s discharge from the hospital are excluded from coverage.
