As NART, our Boat – Yacht Insurance product is an insurance that provides assurance for your yachts that you use for private purposes, against sea hazards or accidents that may occur at mooring places on land, during transportation, at the marina or at the yacht-dockside.

Coverages

  • Marine accidents and hazards such as Storm, Collision, Collision, Grounding
  • Fire, Explosion, Earthquake, Lightning, Volcanic Explosion
  • Damages resulting from contact with land and aircraft or with quay, port equipment or facilities
  • Theft of the outboard motor or service boat locked to the boat or service boat, theft of the boat itself
  • Equipment or machinery forcibly stolen from the boat at the storage or repair site
  • Damages caused by hidden defects in boats and machinery, breakage of shafts, explosion of boilers
  • Damages incurred while towing or launching at the resting place, provided that the laying place (the place where it is taken into care) is notified in advance.
  • Outboard motor being dropped, stolen or rolled overboard

Damages that are not covered by Boat – Yacht Insurance;

  • Towing the boat as long as it is not customary or in need of assistance.
  • Towing another boat, unless the boat is customary or in need of assistance.
  • Major modification of the boat without the approval of the insurance company.
  • Use of the boat as a sea house without the approval of the insurance company
  • Sail and sheaths torn by the wind or bursting while they are sailing.
  • Loss or damage of sails, masts or spades, or fixed and movable crosses or sheets while the boat is racing.

The hull, machinery and assistance boats of the yacht are insured by Boat – Yacht Insurance. Additionally, equipment that is normally sold with the boat-yacht is also included in the insurance coverage. Equipment such as aid boats, personal belongings, boat fuel, fishing gear, etc., which do not bear the same name as the boat-yacht, cannot be covered by insurance.

Boat – Yacht Insurance covers the losses incurred by the boat-yacht while at sea within the geographical area specified in the policy, on the boatyard and at the place of laying. Additionally, it also insures the claims that may occur during the pulling or lowering of the boat to the boatyard.

Possible risks that your boat or yacht may encounter are covered within the scope of the internationally valid Institute Yacht Clauses (1.11.82 Cl.328) and the general conditions and special conditions written on your policy.
